Don’t drink and drive

Radio FM+ organizes throughout the last nine years the unique National community campaign  – “Don’t drink and drive!”.

As you may guess from the name of the campaign, its aim is towards those who outrage common sense and law and drive after they have drunk alcohol. We from Radio FM+ see these actions as a community threat – of the life, the health and the future of every one of us. We know and want to remind our listeners that every tenth person who died in a car accident on Bulgarian roads is a victim of a drunk driver. We want, by common efforts, to decrease this number to a negligible one.

We know that the first steps are that matter. We made them 8 years ago. Now – during the ninth year of “Don’t drink and drive!” the community support is much stronger.

That is why we will not stop just with reminding of the grim statistics. In May you will see us on the crossroads of the big cities, you will talk to our radio hosts and they will give you fancy stickers for your cars.

We are not alone in our National campaign. With the help of the biggest International radio association – NAB (National association of Broadcasters), we attracted some of the music idols of the last twenty years. Among them are such who are world-famous: Gwen Stefany, Elton John, Rod Steward, R.E.M., Coolio, John Secada, “Hootie&The Blowfish”, who will be heard every day in the air of Radio FM+. To organize this incredible team we were helped by the unique American social organization RADD (Recording artists, actors and athletes against drink driving), which unites actors, musicians and sportsman who are enemies against drink driving.

We owe gratitude to our people in the team- the boys from B.T.R., D2, Akagha, Maria Ilieva, The Crickets, Weekeda, FSB, Ivan and Andrei from “Music Idol”, Zueka from “Air Masters” and many others.

During several weeks all these people appeal from the national air of Radio FM+ - do not drive after you have drunk, take the car keys from your friends if they want to get on the car after hours of having fun.

“Music is alive, stay alive, too!”, appeals one of the world-famous stars from the air of the first private radio in Bulgaria.

Join us! Together we can stop the deadly deviousness on Bulgaria’s roads!
